The staff of the Office of Archdiocesan Events and Special Projects oversees large events and special projects originating from the Office of the Archbishop such as (but not limited to) Pray, Reconcile, Rejoice – Day of Reconciliation, Vatican II Awards, Pallium Lecture, Red Mass, White Mass along with additional special initiatives and one time only events that may pop up over any given year. The Office for Archives and Records Management exists to collect, preserve, organize and make available for research the permanently valuable records and artifacts of this archdiocese that reflect the work of the Church, its people and institutions. The role of corporate governance has grown in importance in corporate America with the public transgressions of several major companies. Corporate board members are now more keenly aware of their duties as overseers of management and strategic direction. The Church also has a system of internal controls to ensure good stewardship of the resources entrusted to it. The Archdiocese of Milwaukee Finance Council is charged with and is committed to representing the interests of all parishioners when advising the Archbishop. Members have become more proactive in dealing with the issues facing the archdiocese and providing the Archbishop with sound financial counsel.
The Finance Council continues to provide good stewardship when it comes to financial affairs of the organization. This oversight and direction is critical to the ongoing mission of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.

The Metropolitan Tribunal functions as the court system of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee and assists the Archbishop in his exercise of judicial authority. In this ministry, the Tribunal works with the People of God to process Declarations of Invalidity (Annulments) and other marital processes. The Tribunal also serves as the Office of Marital Reconciliation and Separation, for the recognition of a marital separation for the welfare of a spouse or children, and as the Office of Due Process.

The Prison Ministry of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee extends Christ’s mercy and hope to those affected by incarceration. Rooted in Catholic Social Teaching and the dignity of every human person, this ministry serves individuals in jails and prisons, their families, and those reentering society through pastoral care, sacramental ministry and volunteer outreach. The ministry also offers spiritual support and accompaniment.
The ministry also collaborates with diversion and reentry programs, advocates for restorative justice, and works with parishes to foster awareness, compassion and action on behalf of the incarcerated. By building relationships of trust and compassion, the Prison Ministry embodies the Church’s call to bring light, reconciliation and renewal to all who seek healing and a path forward in faith.

The Respect Life Ministry of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee promotes the dignity of every human person, from conception to natural death. Rooted in the Gospel and Catholic Social Teaching, it fosters a culture of life through education, advocacy, prayer and pastoral care. The ministry supports parishes, schools and organizations in developing initiatives that uphold the sanctity of life and accompany those in need — especially women facing difficult pregnancies, the elderly and the vulnerable. All clergy, paid personnel and volunteers with contact with minors must undergo mandatory training on abuse prevention, maintaining boundaries in ministry, how to report concerns, and understanding their reporting responsibilities. In addition, children in all classrooms and religious education programs are taught lessons each year on personal safety using age-appropriate, grade-level lessons provided by the archdiocese.

If civil authorities cannot take action, the Archdiocese guarantees processes of independent investigation and review by the Diocesan Review Board occur, so that all priests, deacons and parish personnel with substantiated allegations of sexual abuse are permanently removed from ministry, in compliance with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops' Charter for the protection of Children and Young People.
